Application Settings

Application settings is a mandatory Setting Profile that determines the operation of Outlook Profile 2008.

User Selection

Note: These settings only apply when running the application in User Interactive Mode.

Display Single User

Display the user who is currently logged in (user running the application).

Display Multiple Users

Display users found within the Display Multiple Users Found in this Active Directory Path option.

Display Multiple Users if the following conditions are met

Display multiple users only if the logged in user and/or local computer account is a member of the specified Active Directory group. To invert this result, select the 'Not member' checkbox. If the overall result is negative then only the logged in user will be displayed (same as selecting the Display Single User option).

Display Multiple Users found in this Active Directory path

Users found in the specified Active Directory path will be displayed if the Display Multiple Users options have been selected.

User Display

Note: These settings only apply when running the application in User Interactive Mode

Display Format

The format of users displayed in the user interface based on the selected Active Directory user attribute

User Processing

Note: These settings only apply when running the application in User Interactive Mode

Prompt for credentials before processing selected user(s)

Select this option and descendants to ensure that a selected user can only be proceeded by it's owner.

Warn if a user's Exchange mailbox doesn't exist

If a selected user's Exchange mailbox doesn't exist then warn before processing

Start Outlook after processing a single user

If a single user has been processed then close Outlook Profile 2008 and start Outlook automatically.

Connection

Specify alternate details when connecting to Active Directory.

Note: If intending to connect to an alternate domain, ensure to use the 'Always obtain domain information from this DNS location' or if required to communicate with the same Domain Controller otherwise.

Advanced

Processing Setting Profiles

Provides greater control over the processing of Setting Profiles when an error has been encounted.
