Default Configuration File
The 'Default Configuration File' is the location of the 'Configuration File' used by default. For more information on the 'Configuration Files' see the Configuration File Editor.
The 'Configuration File' used by default is located within the same folder as the application executable 'Outlook Profile 2008.exe' named 'Outlook Profile 2008.exe.xml'. If the configuration for Outlook Profile needed to be centrally located (allowing a group of networked machines to share the same configuration), an alternate 'Configuration File' can be specified.
An alternate 'Configuration File' can be specified via the 'Tools->Default Configuration File' menu or alternatively using the /ConfigFile command line switch. The Deployment section contains complete working examples.
IMPORTANT: When using the 'Alternate Configuration File' option (located in the 'Tools->Default Configuration File' menu), the 'Default Configuration File' will be erased and a pointer created within this file to the location specified.
